Mobs Mhericea has been nominated for the upcoming Celtic Media Festival to be held in Newry in 2010.
The Celtic Media Festival exists to promote the cultures and languages of the Celtic countries in film, on television, radio and new media. Primarily this is achieved through the festival - the major annual activity of the organisation - and also through partnership events throughout the year. The Celtic Media Festival is also in a position to offer a distinctive view of the media industry to government consultations etc, which may otherwise be underrepresented.
“We are delighted that Mobs has been nominated for the Celtic Media Festival” says producer Bríd Seoighe. “It’s in the Documentary Factual Series section and up against stiff competition from Scotland, Wales and RTE in Ireland. Following on from the nomination of Bothar go dtí an Whitehouse for this year’s IFTAs, it’s a great credit to all the team and a reflection as too how much work everyone put in to both series.”
The Celtic Media Festival takes place between 21st - 23rd April in Newry.
