1916 Seachtar Anaithnid made front page news in the Irish national newspapers this week when photographers visited our shoot in St Stephen's Green in Dublin City centre. Stills were splashed across the front pages of the newspapers the following day.
While filming scenes of the Easter rising in Stephen's Green with Major John McBride (Frank McCusker), Thomas McDonagh (Stephen Darcy) and Michael O'Hanrahan (Aonghus Og McAnally) crowds of onlookers gathered to watch as men in Irish Volunteer and Citzen Army uniform dashed around firing blanks rounds re-crteating the early moment of the Rising.
