Guth is the gaelic word for Voice and is the title of a very exciting and insigtful look at the role 6 key personalities with Irish descent had on popular music down through the years.

Each one had a unique Irish background and it was this Irishness that led to them being so creative and gave them the wherewithal to challenge convention and leave an indelible mark on the music industry.

Each unique episode looks at one personality starting with the great Bing Cosby then runs through Dusty Springfield, John Lennon, Johnny Rotten, Morrissey and finally with the Gallagher brothers from Oasis.

This 6 x 40 min series was premiered on TG4 in Ireland September 2013.

This series was financed by TG4 & the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland through its Sound and Vision scheme.
