Cheltenham '99
Every year tens of thousands of Irish horse racing fans, trainers and Jockeys travel to Cheltenham in the English Cotswolds to take part in a feast of horseracing action. Rivalry between the Irish and their British counter[arts is legendary. Here farms are bet and lost, grown men lose all reason when it comes to betting. We follow well known Irish trainers Eddie O Grady, Mouse Morris and Willie Mullins as they try to get a few winners. And we watch as the legendary ISTRABAQ owned by legendary punter JP McManus wins the Champion Hurlde.

Horsepower of a different kind here. The Millstreet Maestro is a 30 min documentary film on Billy Coleman aka The Millstreet Maestro who is recognised as Ireland's greatest ever rally driver. This show was produced for RTE as part of their Townlands strand and aired in 2005.

This intimate portrait of a man focusses on the life and recovery of Adrian Maguire, the most successful Irish jockey never to become champion in England. In a career dogged by hard falls Maguire had to call time on his riding career after a horrific fall at Warwick Racecourse and we now look at his life as he sets up as a Trainer of Racehorses at his new home near Mallow in Co Cork. A unique insight into the world of horse racing in Ireland.
